Free API endpoint checker

Free API endpoint checker: is your API responding correctly?

Send a request with the method, headers and body you choose, then check the status code, response time and JSON body against your own pass conditions.

Request options (headers & body)
One per line, e.g. Authorization: Bearer xxxxx
Sent with POST, PUT and PATCH.
Pass conditions
Leave a field blank to skip it. The check passes only when every condition you set is met.

Pass conditions

Your endpoint responded correctly now. But that only tells you this moment.

Register free and Monitrova will keep checking your endpoint and alert you the moment an assertion fails.

A single check tells you what your API is doing right now. Monitrova can keep sending the same request on a schedule and alert you when the status, response time or JSON response stops matching what you expect.

Beyond a ping

Monitoring that checks the response, not just the connection

A basic ping only tells you the server answered. Monitrova checks the status code, the response time and the actual JSON your API returns — and alerts you when any of it drifts.

Questions

API endpoint checking — FAQ

How do I test an API endpoint?

Paste the endpoint URL, choose the HTTP method, add any headers or a request body, and set your pass conditions. Monitrova sends the request once and reports the status code, response time and content type, and tells you which conditions passed or failed.

Can I send an Authorization header or a request body?

Yes. Add headers one per line (e.g. Authorization: Bearer xxxxx) and put any JSON or form body in the request-body field. The body is sent with POST, PUT and PATCH requests.

What can I assert about the response?

You can require an exact status code, a maximum response time, a substring that must appear in the body, and a JSON field that must exist (and optionally equal a value). The check passes only when every condition you set is met.

Is the API endpoint checker free?

Yes — it’s free and needs no account. For continuous checks with alerts when an assertion fails, create a free Monitrova account and add the endpoint as an API monitor.

How is a one-off check different from monitoring?

This tool sends the request once, right now. An API monitor keeps sending it on a schedule and emails you the moment the status, response time or JSON response stops matching your conditions — so you find out before your users do.
